I care about the future of the planet. Like a lot. I promise I'm not judge-y about it, but I do consider one of my most important lifetime achievements to be convincing dozens of people to "just say no" to plastic bags, stacks of napkins, and unnecessary to-go containers. Truth be told, I have been known to go to what some might call crazy extremes in my efforts to conserve:
* Reusing wrapping paper? Check.
* Swearing off fast fashion in favor of second hand and vintage? Check.
* Adventures in extreme composting? Check.
* Washing/reusing Ziploc bags until they no longer function? Check.
* Homemade deodorant? Check.
I could go on, but you probably get the picture. :D
Weirdly, I wanted a label for my efforts. In the course of my decade-long relationship with sustainable living, I tried tree hugger on for size but it didn’t quite fit, and crunchy still strikes me as someone who probably wears bad shoes (sorry).
A Conservationista, on the other hand, is clearly someone who conserves with style.
Yeah, I made it up. Because I believe sustainability is inherently feminine and sophisticated, and I want to get as many women as possible excited about it.
Have you felt your inner Conservationista stirring? I'm here to make sure conserving with style is easy as can be. The vintage you will find in my shop mixes easily into your everyday wardrobe to deliver an instant pop of style. There are complete looks that pair everything you need for a great outfit at a discounted rate, and loads styling inspiration via updates, so be sure to follow!
If you dream of just having someone tell you what to wear, and/or you're ready to opt out of fast fashion altogether but aren't sure how to get there, let's talk about the Beautiful on Purpose Year of Style - a service for women who want to spend less money, time, and energy picking out clothes, but still want to feel confident and at ease with their style. It's part style coaching (confidence), part wardrobe delivery (ease), and all sustainable fashion (savings).
Don't go thinking a Year of Style would be too indulgent for you - chances are good you'll actually save money compared to what you're spending on clothes alone right now! But I can tell you all about it when we chat. Reach out so I can answer any questions you have.
